Born and raised in the Bronx, I have over 15 years’ experience in financial management across all sectors – corporate, private equity and nonprofit. However, my love for helping others has brought me to YSC – whose mission is very important and dear to my own heart after my paternal grandmother was diagnosed (though not at a young age). Her strength and resiliency inspired me and forced me to be more diligent, compassionate and understanding.
I graduated from UNLV with a B.S in Finance and in 2018 was a Cowin Fellow at Columbia University, Teachers College where I earned certification in Financial Literacy to bolster my own ability to help low income families and women in the Bronx – helping them to understand personal finance and learn skills in budgeting, saving, debt, etc..
I LOVE the New York Yankees! I am also that "city girl" who brunches on weekends and enjoys movies, lounges and traveling and have even lived in 4 states.
I was a police cadet my freshman year of college at Wagner (Staten Island) and worked at the Chief of Departments office at One Police Plaza! It was an amazing experience but I quickly learned that the paramilitary environment was NOT for me - nor was that uniform!
