Jasmine Souers is a nonprofit marketing maven by day and a Breast Cancer Baddie by night. A Jacksonville, FL resident, she was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer just two days before the new year in 2016. After completing active treatment which consisted of a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and proton therapy, Jasmine was determined to turn her wounds into wisdom. She channeled her energy into a personal blog, volunteering for national organizations such as Young Survival Coalition and Living Beyond Breast Cancer and creating care packages to encourage women on their cancer journeys.
Today, Jasmine continues her pursuit of a purpose-driven life as the co-founder and chief visionary officer of For the Breast of Us, the first online community dedicated to sharing stories and imagery of women of color affected by breast cancer. She is a passionate advocate for young women affected by breast cancer and helping women of color affected by breast cancer overcome the barriers to quality healthcare. Jasmine believes in the power of amplifying the voices of women from marginalized communities to break barriers in the cancer community. She is a woman's woman, championing women to pursue opportunities to collaborate rather than compete with each other. In spare time, she enjoys writing and spending time with her family and two pups.
