Megan Rouse is a highly successful non-profit professional and personal top fundraiser who brings to the YSC Board of Directors a passion for supporting young adults diagnosed with breast cancer. She has more than 10 years of non-profit management, peer-to-peer fundraising, event planning and stakeholder engagement experience. She is currently the Director of Partnerships & Strategist for Turnkey, a company that focuses on increasing revenue for nonprofit organizations. In her current role she helps nonprofits grow their peer-to-peer fundraising programs and increase revenue needed to support their various missions by providing strategic consulting, including business planning, strategy development, interim staffing, as well as vendor/technology partnerships. Prior to this, Megan led the DIY (do-it-yourself) fundraising efforts for Susan G. Komen where she increased revenue by 180% in her first nine months. Megan also served as a Marathon Campaign Coordinator for the North Texas Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and a 5 Star Meeting and Special Events Manager for the Gaylord Texan.
Megan’s fundraising days started as early as elementary school where she was the top cookie seller in her Girl Scout Troop two years in a row. The highlight of her personal fundraising career was in 2015, the 20th anniversary of her father’s passing, when she completed 20 endurance events across the country and raised over $150,000 with Team Rooster for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In her free time, Megan enjoys spoiling her golden retriever, Taco, traveling (she has a goal to run a marathon in every state), being active, spending time with friends and family, and trying new things (next up is golf lessons).
