YSC Outreach Materials
Hosting an info table or attending an event on behalf of YSC is one of the key ways we spread the word about our programs and resources for young women affected by breast cancer. We are so thankful for all the work you do to attend these events and ensure YSC has a presence in as many places as possible. We want you to have a great experience and feel like you are really making a difference and we try to ensure you have all the necessary materials you need to help you connect with potential constituents, healthcare providers, volunteers and donors.
As a nonprofit organization we need to be good stewards of our money and we simply can’t dedicate a huge amount of our budget and resources to providing YSC giveaways. We have tried to be creative and find inexpensive items that are still fun to hand out and that people like to receive, but when it comes down to it, we just can’t provide enough materials for every attendee for all the events you are attending. We understand wanting to have something fun on your table that will help draw people towards you to start that conversation, we are now including either YSC-branded candy or stickers in your materials so you can place those on your table for anyone to grab as they walk by (we all know there are many attendees at these events who just want the freebies!) and you can save your more limited supply of nicer YSC materials for those you have a conversation with or connect with.
When planning on the amount of materials we can send for your event, we consider many factors including:
- the location
- audience (are the attendees part of our demographic, healthcare providers, general population)
- purpose (a health fair, a breast cancer event, an event just for young women, a general community event)
Thank you again for all the work you do to ensure we are spreading the word about YSC far and wide. We would never be able to reach as many people without your help attending events and we will continue to provide you with materials and resources to ensure you have a meaningful volunteer experience.
