We offer a welcoming support group, which for many, is the first opportunity to connect with other young survivors. We regularly participate in events, in cooperation with the medical, breast cancer, and general communities. It is our goal to extend the reach and name recognition of the YSC and to be the premier support organization for young women with breast cancer in our area.

Support Group: Our support group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 6:15–8:30 p.m. at Gilda's Club Seattle. These bi-monthly meetings are open to all women diagnosed with any stage of breast cancer under/around the age of 40. The meeting time is used for listening, sharing, discussion and occasional guest speakers. Members are encouraged to contact one another outside of the group. Location: Gilda's Club Seattle, 1st Floor Ballroom. 1400 Broadway Ave, Seattle, on the corner of Broadway and Union. Leadership Meeting: We are looking for volunteers to join our Leadership Council! We meet the 3rd Thursday of the month, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. We would appreciate anyone with skills in note-taking, fundraising, bookkeeping, writing or whatever you have to offer. New: Metastatic Support Group. YSC Seattle is now offering a new support group for women facing metastatic (stage IV) breast cancer. The group meets the last Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in north Seattle. Word is getting out! Our YSC Seattle Support Group meetings are bustling with new faces, and we're happy to see new connections and friendships being made. Our members have been busy, so please take a look: Get Hitched, Give Hope Gives Shout-Out to YSC Seattle Get Hitched, Give Hope is a nonprofit organization that raises money for charity through a yearly bash where brides can shop for wedding services and products. All items and services are donated, and proceeds from this year's event go toward granting wishes for stage IV breast cancer patients. The bash is October 28 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle. Drink Beyond the Pink Planning in Full Swing The fundriasing auction is Saturday, October 9 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight at O'Asian restaurant in Seattle. A small group of breast cancer survivors began meeting in 2002 in the home of one of its members, and they found there was a need for support and services for young women diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, we have provided a supportive environment for over 100 young women with breast cancer in the Seattle area. As of January 2009, we are honored to represent the Young Survival Coalition as an affiliate and bring its national focus to the Pacific Northwest.

Planning for our annual fundraiser, Drink Beyond the Pink, is underway, and we're looking for volunteers. Help is needed procuring auction items, getting the word out and with assocaited administrative tasks.
