Navigation Tools

Newly Diagnosed Navigator – Created to educate and empower newly diagnosed young women, the Treatment Navigator includes an easy-to-understand breast cancer glossary, questions to ask healthcare teams and inspiring messages from young women who’ve been down this road. 

Post-Treatment Navigator – This is a comprehensive guidebook to manage the post-treatment phase, including a survivorship care plan for young women diagnosed with breast cancer to use with their healthcare team. This guide offers practical tips on managing sex and intimacy concerns, family planning options and long-term side effects like chemo brain and lymphedema.

Long-Term Navigator – Developed specifically for young women with a history of breast cancer, this resource includes tips and information on how to manage long-term side effects and move forward with life after diagnosis and treatment.

Metastatic Navigator – A Young Woman’s Guide To Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer promotes a greater understanding of living with stage IV breast cancer. It includes various treatment options, advice on working with healthcare teams, along with forms and tools to help you stay organized.

ResourceLink Guidebook - Full of information on organizations that provide financial assistance, support, and other resources relevant to young women diagnosed with breast cancer. It is intended to be a tool for those diagnosed, as well as healthcare professionals and supporters. 

Breast Health and You - Provides information on breast cancer facts, signs and symptoms of breast cancer, common myths, good health habits, risk factors, understanding your family tree and information on how to talk to your doctor.

CONNECT TO OTHERS

YSC Online Community Boards - The YSC online community boards provide a forum for young women affected by breast cancer and their supporters. Share experiences and information at any time of the day or night — even from a smartphone.

FACE 2 FACE Networking Groups (F2F) – YSC Face 2 Face peer-led networking groups bring together survivors in your local community. Groups can be based on location, similar diagnosis, interests or even age. Young survivors can register to start a local group using the tools and resources created by YSC. 

SurvivorLink - YSC’s SurvivorLink program allows you to connect one-on-one with a young woman who shares a similar diagnosis, similar life experiences or concerns. 
 

CONFERENCES

The National Summit– This three-day national conference will feature inspirational speakers, workshops addressing the unique issues that young women with breast cancer face, and special wellness activities. Find the most up-to-date, evidence-based information and tools. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with a community of other young survivors and co-survivors from across the country.

Regional Symposiums –One-day regional symposiums will focus on the individual pursuit of resiliency and survivorship for young women affected by breast cancer and their co-survivors. The event will include educational and inspirational speakers and workshops, as well as the opportunity to connect with survivors and co-survivors in your region.
