Take it from young women who’ve been there—sometimes you just want to talk to someone who’s been there, too. YSC’s SurvivorLink program helps young women facing breast cancer find the priceless support, wisdom and understanding that only a fellow survivor can provide.
This supportive program welcomes women at all stages of breast cancer—because, whether you just received your diagnosis or have been proudly fighting for years, the voice of someone who’s walked the same path can be the most welcome gift in the world.
We’ll help you find support from young women who know where you’re coming from: a single woman who can share her thoughts about facing a mastectomy, a fellow Latina who wants to talk about cultural issues, a woman living with metastatic breast cancer, a young mother who needs to talk about what recurrence might mean for her children—all of these women and more can find support through SurvivorLink.

To begin sharing stories with some of these vibrant, understanding young women, contact YSC by phone at 877.YSC.1011 or by e-mail. We’ll discuss your interests and concerns so we can find the best match for you among our network of courageous and compassionate young women. Within 48 hours, a trained SurvivorLink volunteer will contact you for an informal talk.
If you’d like to serve as a vital link in another young woman’s circle, you can volunteer with SurvivorLink. We provide training that will prepare you to reach out to another young woman, feel comfortable discussing her breast cancer experience, and be there to understand her feelings and concerns. During a weekend-long training session, you’ll learn about YSC and network with our other dedicated volunteers while becoming a dependable resource and a compassionate listener.
