YSC Kansas City began at the end of 2002 when Kim (Carlos) George and Lanita Moss, YSC national co-founder, hosted our first meeting. We currently serve 12 counties in the Metro Kansas City area, working to ensure no young woman faces breast cancer alone. Starting with diagnosis and into survivorship, YSC Kansas City provides support through resource kits, our networking and support groups, educational programs, socials and caregiver networking opportunities.

Save the date for our 5th Annual In Living Pink to raise funds to support, educate and empower young women with breast cancer. The event features YSC honoring a medical provider and survivor making a difference in the community. But we're also adding new and exciting charitable gaming with roulette wheels, blackjack, craps tables and more for prizes, all benefitting a tremendously meaningful cause. And we will continue to have amazing food, cocktails, our live auction with the Nigro Brothers, the highly popular survivor fashion show and dancing.
Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. YSC provides support and education so that no young woman is left to face breast cancer alone. In Living Pink is YSC’s signature fundraising event. All funds raised from the In Living Pink gala go toward continuing YSC’s mission.
Please note, tickets for this event will go on sale in June, so please come back then to purchase your tickets online.

YSC Kansas City – Offering Resources, Connections and Support
YSC continues to provide vital support for Kansas City women through our breast health education programs, referrals to screening and diagnostic options and support for breast cancer survivors from diagnosis, through treatment and into survivorship. Our greatest joy is to help breast cancer patients be empowered advocates for themselves.
Through our community outreach efforts, we have educated tens of thousands of local young women about breast health and being their own advocates. Young women facing breast cancer can find support through our numerous resources including Newly Diagnosed Resource Kits, packed with information and resources. YSC Connections, our monthly networking and support group, provides an opportunity for young survivors to connect, ask questions and know they are not alone. Our new local Metslink networking group allows young women living with advanced breast cancer to connect with each other. Through our survivor education programs, survivors learn to adapt to their new sense of normal. Our socials provide an opportunity for survivors and co-survivors to connect and realize they are not alone.
The fourth annual In Living Pink gala was a spectacular evening of raising awareness about breast cancer and raised over $82,000 for our programs while celebrating young Kansas City survivors. In addition, in October we held the very first YSC Tour de Pink Indoor in Kansas City! It was a fun, family event raising over $26,000! You can see pictures from both events at www.pixofevents.com.
We cannot fulfill our mission without the generous support of volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you to everyone who helps us carry out our mission - to ensure that no young woman faces breast cancer alone.
