The Houston Chapter of the YSC started meeting in the fall of 2002 and has grown to be an well recognized organization in the Houston breast cancer committee. This year we hired a part-time Affiliate Coordinator, Gretchen Walton, who devotes her time to Houston's programming, fundraising efforts and a few other things! Our ongoing activities include hosting a monthly support group "The Knockout Roses" and distribution of our Newly Diagnosed Resource Kits to young women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer. We host an annual fundraising event each year, In Living Pink, a fun, hip, signature event that also helps bring awareness to the community that young women can and do get breast cancer.
