Support Group: The Knockout Roses Young Breast Cancer Survivor's Support Group is a partnership with The Rose, a nonprofit, Houston-area organization for breast cancer screening, diagnosis and support. This is the first one in the Houston area specifically for young women with breast cancer. Our hope is that this group will be a place where young survivors can come to meet each other and to talk about the issues that are unique to them. The Knockout Roses support group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at The Rose Joan Gordon Center at 3400 Bissonnet, Suite 185. Call Amy at 713.660.6675 ext. 1 for more information. YSC Business Meeting: Join us for our monthly business and networking meeting. We'll discuss upcoming events, planning and volunteer opportunities while catching up with our fellow survivors and supporters. We meet at the YSC Houston office at 3104 Edloe, Suite 209 in the Greenway Plaza area of Houston. Meetings are on the third Monday of each month. The Houston Affiliate of the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) started meeting in the Fall of 2002 and has grown to be a well recognized organization in the Houston breast cancer community. The Houston YSC works in our community to support and improve the lives of young women with breast cancer and help ensure a better future for the young women who may one day be diagnosed. Our ongoing activities include hosting a monthly support group called "The Knockout Roses" and distribution of our Newly Diagnosed Resource Kits to young women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer. We host an annual fundraising event every Fall, In Living Pink, which is a fun, hip, signature event that also helps bring awareness to the community that young women can and do get breast cancer.
