Medical Advisory Board

The YSC Medical Advisory Board (MAB) is an interdisciplinary team of prominent practitioners and researchers working with young women who are living with and at risk for breast cancer. These professionals believe in the YSC's mission, provide support to the YSC and serve as an ad hoc advisory council to the organization.

Specific tasks of the MAB include:

  • Representing and supporting the YSC's goal of furthering awareness and research in the medical community
  • Assisting the YSC in targeting and building relationships with researchers working on studies specific to young women that parallel YSC's mission
  • Disseminating relevant information about the YSC to patients and colleagues
  • Speaking to YSC members and others at YSC outreach and educational events
  • Reviewing for accuracy all medical information contained in YSC communications
  • Reviewing data pertinent to YSC's message, ie. newly published studies relevant to the population
  • Forwarding to YSC published articles and information on accruing studies of interest (domestic and international) to early onset breast cancer patients for inclusion in our research databases
