The Young Survival Coalition will hold its second annual Affiliate Leadership Conference December 1-3, 2006, at the Hard Rock Hotel on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The YSC Leadership Conference is targeted to volunteer leadership teams of YSC Chapters, Branches and Community Volunteer Groups that are completing the affiliate application process.
Specific, attendees should be current/incoming officers, leadership team members, future leaders and other key volunteers. The theme for this year's conference is "Growing YSC From Good to Great," based on the concepts from Jim Collins' book Good to Great.
Goals of this conference include:
- Celebrate YSC's past successes and understand our future strategic direction
- Build leadership skills
- Learn relevant strategies and techniques for managing local operations well
- Share best practices and success stories
- Network and build relationships with affiliate/national volunteers and staff
- Develop an action plan for implementation back home

As the YSC continues to grow, it is critical that we effectively and efficiently share our knowledge, expertise and vision with each other so that we remain a powerful resource for young women whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. We look forward to this event and the momentum that it will build as we move forward.
