YSC Greater Metro Atlanta Area

YSC Greater Metro Atlanta was formed at the end of 2000 by a 22-year-old college student facing a breast cancer diagnosis. In 2001, the group started with funds received by a grant to begin college outreach programs focusing on breast health for young women. The chapter grew as more young women found YSC Atlanta and wanted to meet other young survivors as well as educate the community about breast cancer in this unique population.

YSC Atlanta became an affiliate of YSC in 2005 serving the 11 counties in the Metro Atlanta area. YSC Atlanta focuses on education and outreach opportunities and provides peer-to-peer support for newly diagnosed young women.

Our Monthly Meetings

Greater Metro Atlanta meets on a monthly basis, usually the second Sunday, at the offices of Breast Friends. There is a support meeting that begins at 12:30 p.m. and runs for an hour. Immediately following the support group at 1:30 p.m. is the YSC business meeting to discuss ongoing local planning. The meeting ends at 3:00 p.m.

You are welcome to one or both meetings. For more informaiton, please call Beth Suitt at 770-377-8956 or email at yscatlanta@youngsurvival.org to verify time and date and to RSVP.
