If you are a young survivor of breast cancer and have told your story to someone for the first time, , you may have experienced their shock, amazement and horror at the thought of someone so young being affected by the disease. Imagine the impact that your story would have on your State Senator!
Young survivors can exert tremendous influence when they tell their story to their Senators and Representatives. When we meet with them we send the message that breast cancer is not only a problem affecting their mothers and grandmothers but their friends, colleagues, wives, daughters, cousins, staff and interns -- breast cancer can happen to any woman, regardless of age.
