Welcome to the YSC Northern New Jersey! YSC NNJ was founded by Lisa Marie Muccilo in January 2002. Her inspirational leadership, passion and dedication to helping young women with breast cancer inspire all that we do. Although we lost Lisa Marie in August 2003, her examples of strength and determination still guide us today.

Today, YSC NNJ constituents include breast cancer survivors, family and friends as well as people who care about the issues breast cancer poses for young women. You do not need to be a breast cancer survivor to be a part of the YSC! As with all other local YSC groups, some members have never been diagnosed with breast cancer but realize that breast cancer affects us all.

The YSC Northern New Jersey Affiliate meets regularly, sometimes for social events such as our You Are Not Alone series of workshops and event, sometimes for business, and sometimes for volunteer nights. We look forward to seeing you soon.

YSN NNJ You Are Not Alone Jewelry Making Night - Thursday, April 01st, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Were you or someone you know diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 40? You Are Not Alone. Join us for a social night to meet other young survivors in an informal setting.

In Living Pink Goodie Bags! They are a favorite, and it's time to get them stuffed. Get a sneak peak and what's in the bags and help out with fellow friends, supporters and survivors.

Monthly Meetings

YSC Northern New Jersey currently co-hosts two monthly support groups in Hackensack and Little Silver. See below for complete details on each group.

Gilda's Club, First Tuesday of the Month in Hackensack
Are you looking for a group of people who can relate to you and your experience? Gilda's Club of Northern New Jersey and YSC NNJ are working together to bring you a monthly networking group. This group will be held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Support Group for Young Women in Monmouth County
Are you looking to connect with other young women with breast cancer in Monmouth County? YSC NNJ volunteers are co-leading a support group in Little Silver. The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month at Adult Medical Oncology, located at 39 Sycamore Ave., Little Silver, on the 2nd floor. Refreshments will be provided. Directions to the YSC NNJ Office

Located just off Route 17 North, at the exchange of Rtes. 4 & 17. We are within 5 minutes of the Garden State Parkway (exit 161).

Take Route 17 North, get off at Century Rd. (towards River Edge). Go up the hill and make a right at the light (Farview Avenue). Continue about ½ mile (past La Bella Roma, Curves, Paramus Nails). Immediately after Paramus Nails and the attached stores, make a right onto Farview Terrace. Continue to the stop sign, and you'll see our building across the street; #27 is the brick building with the green shutters.
