We will hold monthly networking meetings for survivors, plan social events and host volunteer nights for anyone interested in getting involved. We will also be offering educational programs, support networks and long term friendships. This new affiliate wants to reduce the isolation felt by young women with breast cancer by building a strong community of young survivors in the South Carolina.

As a new affiliate, YSC Columbia is looking for folks who are interested in getting involved at any level. Regardless of whether you are a young survivor or not, and regardless of whether you are newly diagnosed or years out, you can help YSC Columbia raise local awareness of breast cancer in young women and connect local young survivors. Young Survival Coalition has come to Columbia, South Carolina! We are excited to be the first affiliate in South Carolina. YSC Columbia was formally created in 2009 by several local young survivors who have been meeting informally for the past 9 years. Our affiliation with YSC will enable us to better reach young women diagnosed with breast cancer and survivors with the goal of raising awareness of breast cancer in young women. YSC Columbia serves the entire state of South Carolina. We are looking forward to getting involved in our community and making a difference.
