YSC Duluth was created in April of 2005 through the hard work and dedication of three young survivors. Since its inception, it has been our goal to be the face of young women with breast cancer throughout our service area. We organize support, social and educational programs for young women with breast cancer. We regularly participate in events in cooperation with the medical, breast cancer and general communities in order to share the knowledge that young women can and do get breast cancer.
We are honored to represent YSC and bring its national focus to the Arrowhead Region, which includes Northern Minnesota, Northwestern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We are pleased to be bringing our support materials and services to the Twin Cities metro region of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Connections Meetings
Our monthly Connections Meetings are open to patients of all hospital systems. These meetings occur on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at Essentia Health, 400 East 1st Street, Duluth, MN 55805. Meetings are held in the Caring Ways Cancer Resource Center which is located on the second floor. On street parking is available as well as in the adjacent parking ramps.
These peer-mediated meetings begin with a thirty-minute news and resource segment. The remainder of the time is used for listening, sharing and discussion. The meetings are concluded by 9:00 p.m.
On September 18, 2010 YSC Duluth was proud to host the area’s first and only bicycling fundraising event, the YSC Tour de Pink Duluth. With over 120 registrants and almost 100 riders, we are thrilled to announce that we raised $41,000 for YSC Duluth programs and services. We could not have succeeded without the exceptional support and generosity of our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and the community. We are already planning YSC Tour de Pink Duluth 2011, so hop on board and join us for a sweet ride!
