"A volunteer is a person who believes that people can make a difference … and is willing to prove it."

YSC Central Ohio is currently an all-volunteer Chapter. We rely on the time and talents of our volunteers to bring the programs and services to Central Ohio, to reach out to others and to build our necessary resources. Below is just a sample of the volunteer opportunities available.
The following committees are in need of volunteers to help with the on-going work of YSC Central Ohio: - Programming: Distribute our Newly Diagnosed Kits to area hospitals and offices. Coordinate an event, help brainstorm for needs or help with registration!
- PR/Marketing: Pitch stories to media contacts, distribute press releases and help get the YSC Central Ohio name and services out in Columbus!
- Development/Fundraising: Help discover funding opportunities, apply for grants and coordinate special events to ensure YSC Central Ohio has the resources it needs!
- Building and Distributing Resource Kits for Newly Diagnosed Young Breast Cancer Survivors
- Tell Your Story!: YSC Central Ohio volunteers speak at breast cancer awareness events, medical symposiums, media and motivational events. This is an excellent opportunity for you to share your story and make a difference.
- Educational Booth: The YSC provides educational and support materials at booths and tables at area health fairs, breast cancer walks and other related events. Volunteers learn about our programs and services beforehand, and get to network with others!
- In Living Pink: This gala event is our main source of fundraising. Join other YSC volunteers to pull off a special event devoted to raising awareness and funds for our programs and services. Volunteers are needed on the night of, as well as in the planning stages.
