2000OB/GYN awareness campaign reached 10,000 doctors. | |
2001Hosted medical research symposium focused on young women and breast cancer that was the catalyst for our first evidence-based white paper, Bridging the Gaps: Medical Research Symposium on Young Women & Breast Cancer — A Basis for Action & Advocacy. | |
2002Partnered with Living Beyond Breast Cancer to co-host annual conference for young women affected by breast cancer — now called C4YW. | |
2003Groundbreaking study on fertility choices published in the International Journal of Fertility and Women’s Medicine. | |
2004Inaugural YSC Tour de Pink® three-day bike ride held from Boston to New York City. | |
2005Created innovative peer support program ResourceLink. | |
2006Introduced guidebook Talking with Children about Breast Cancer1, the first resource helping parents to discuss the topic. | |
2007Produced video, The Beautiful 8: Learning to Live with Advanced Breast Cancer. | |
2008Introduced Pilot Registry focused on breast cancer in women 40 years of age and under. | |
2009Established nationally distributed Newly Diagnosed Resource Kit (NDRK) that included a comprehensive Treatment Navigator. | |
2009First Congressional Women’s Softball Game to benefit YSC took place in Washington D.C. | |
2010Released YSC’s Metastatic Navigator: A Young Women’s Guide to Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer. | |
2012Rolled out the Post-Treatment Navigator, a comprehensive guide for women who have finished breast cancer treatment. |
1. Talking with Children about Breast Cancer was revised in 2011 and is now titled Helping Children Cope with Breast Cancer.
