YSC Greater Metro Atlanta was formed at the end of 2000 by a 22-year-old college student facing a breast cancer diagnosis. We currently serve 11 counties in the Metro Atlanta area, working to ensure no young woman faces breast cancer alone. YSC Atlanta provides an assortment of programs from resource kits to support programs, educational events to caregiver networking opportunities and is proud to provide community outreach and awareness programs, educating the metro area that young women can and do get breast cancer.

Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group
Young women with metastatic breast cancer face particularly intense challenges—they’re also particularly underserved by a medical community too often blind to the unique issues young women face. Thankfully, for those living with metastatic breast cancer, YSC Atlanta’s new programs can help provide the support and information young women both need and deserve. Join us on the fourth Tuesday of each month for the Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group.
YSC Tour de Pink Atlanta 2011
What a way to kick off breast cancer awareness month! On October 1st, over 800 riders, runners, walkers and volunteers gathered for Atlanta's only bike ride for breast cancer! The 3rd annual event saw even more participants than last year's ride, plus a new survivor area, massage therapists and a great Taste of the Tour! The funds raised at Tour de Pink stay right here in the Atlanta area to provide support, education and outreach so that no young woman faces breast cancer alone. YSC Atlanta Receives Funding for EMPOWER! Program
YSC Atlanta recently launched an expansion of its EMPOWER! program focusing on reducing health disparities by promoting breast cancer awareness among uninsured or underinsured young women in the metro area. The program’s messaging “Know Your Body. Know the Truth.” has been featured in print, online and radio ads around Atlanta encouraging people to text in to receive important messaging that young women can and do get breast cancer.
